To attend the conference, fill in the registration form and return to the Conference Secretariat. Each delegate must complete a separate form. Photocopy for additional copies or contact the secretariat. Forms will be accepted by post, fax or online.

Early bird registration closes on the 15 July 2010.

Please note that due to ASC2010’s affiliation with the Schizophrenia International Research Society (SIRS), we are able to offer a discounted registration rate for SIRS members.

All Registration Fees are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of 10% Goods and Services Tax. Registrations made after Friday 17 September 2010 must be made onsite at the Conference.

Method of Payment

Payment of fees must accompany all registration forms. No registration will be confirmed until payment is received in full. Payments can be made via the following methods:

• Credit cards: Visa, Mastercard or American Express
• Personal or Company Cheque: (Australian delegates only) and made payable to: Australasian Schizophrenia Conference or ASC 2010

Cancellation of Registration

Deadline: Thursday 15 July 2010
Cancellations must be made in writing to the Conference Secretariat. Cancellations received prior to 15 July 2010 will receive a refund less an AUD100 administration fee. Cancellations received after 15 July 2010 will not receive a refund. The ASC Organising Committee will consider cancellations of registration under exceptional circumstances. Refunds will not be granted on failure of visa application, however, substitute delegates will be accepted.

Sheraton on the Park

The Conference venue for ASC 2010 is located directly opposite Hyde Park, the tree-lined oasis offering opulent grandeur in the in the heart of Sydney. Delegates can enjoy classic colour palettes of creams and earthy tones, plush fabrics, and fine furniture to create a welcoming, comfortable environment for you to settle in and relax. The property is a stroll away from Circular Quay and many other attractions Sydney has to offer.

Travelodge Sydney Hotel

This Travelodge Hotel is located on the edge of the Sydney CBD 10 minutes away from the Conference venue and within easy walking distance to explore the city and it’s superb restaurants, theatres, lively nightclubs and great range of shopping outlets from designer stores to funky boutiques. Nearby major attractions include: Darling Harbour, Sydney Cricket Ground and the Sydney Football Stadium, all are easily accessible, and you will also be close to more family orientated attractions like the Sydney Aquarium & Wildlife Park, and the Sydney IMAX Cinema.

Park Regis City Centre

Park Regis City Centre is a 3 minute walk from the Conference venue and is surrounded by Sydney’s best shopping, restaurants, sightseeing and entertainment. It cannot be beaten for location, service and value for money. Park Regis City Centre is located in the heart of Sydney city, just a short walk to Hyde Park, Darling Harbour, Pitt Street Mall, Queen Victoria Building and Town Hall. Guests should experience the rooftop outdoor pool and sundeck that affords magnificent 360 degree views over Sydney Harbour, Darling Harbour and the city.

Budget Accommodation

Backpacker style accommodation should be booked direct (not through the Secretariat). The YHA Australia (Australian Backpacker and Youth Hostel Accommodation and Travel) can be found at www.yha.com.au.

Deposits

Accommodation will not be confirmed until a deposit of one night’s tariff is received. This deposit will be forwarded to your hotel and will be credited to your room account. Delegates must settle the balance of their account with the hotel concerned upon check out. If accommodation deposits are not received before 20 July 2010 your room will be released back to the hotel. The conference secretariat does not take responsibility for accommodation if deposits are not received by this date.

Deadline for accommodation bookings

The Secretariat has an obligation to return all unsold rooms to the hotels/apartments on 20 July 2010, therefore accommodation bookings and rates reserved after that date cannot be guaranteed. The rates quoted are only valid for bookings made prior to 20 July 2010. Late bookings can be made through ASC 2010 Conference Secretariat after 20 July 2010 but are subject to availability and credit card details are required to secure the reservation. One night’s accommodation tariff will be deducted from the supplied credit card, by the hotel, if the reservation is cancelled or the delegate fails to arrive on the specified date.

Cancellations

No accommodation deposits will be refunded on or after 20 July 2010.

Change of booking

Any change in booking must be made in writing to the Conference Secretariat and NOT directly to the hotel, however, after 8 September, please contact the hotel directly for any changes.

Accommodation Bookings

Payment of the first night’s tariff must be received with your registration to secure your accommodation booking. If a deposit is not received, your booking will not be processed and your room released back to the hotel.
